Consultation Paper on Zero Carbon Homes

Margaret Beckett the Housing Minister has set out proposals to make all new homes zero carbon from 2016. The consultation proposals include requiring a greatly increased level of energy efficiency in the fabric of new homes and setting a minimum level of carbon reduction that developers must achieve on the site of the housing development.  The closing date for comments on these proposals is 18 March 2009.
