Louis Armstrong's role is to deliver the strategic objectives and policies set by Governing Council and member committees, working towards the vision of RICS becoming 'the mark of property professionalism worldwide'. |
The CEO works closely with each President, the senior elected Officers of the Institution, and the thousand or so members actively involved in committees. Together, they establish the priorities, programmes, activities and services that are within the scope of RICS resources.
A major part of his job is also to raise the status of RICS and the profession. So he takes the lead role in external affairs - providing continuity, seniority and experience across a wide range of media, committee and conference activities. Both in the UK and internationally.
He also maintains an overview of RICS bilateral relationships with over 150 organisations and Institutions.

Sean Tompkins leads on the performance and delivery of RICS' day-to-day operational activities. He has overall responsibility for the key outputs of the business plan, and for the efficient and effective management of the Institution. |
Sean provides advice and adds input to the RICS Strategic Objectives and Business Plan, by working closely with Governing Council, and the Strategy & Resources Board.
He also works with senior elected officers of the Institution and actively involved members of committees, to establish priorities, programmes, activities and services within agreed resources.
