Interim
What is the interim assessment?
The interim assessment is a record of your first 12 months of training. Halfway through the APC your supervisor and counsellor review your progress and plan any future activities needed to meet the APC requirements. This should all be recorded in templates 10-12 as per the APC candidate's guide.
Does the interim apply to everyone?
No. The interim assessment only applies to candidates following the graduate route who are recording a minimum of 24 months' structured training.
When should the interim be completed?
Within a month of recording 12 months of training.
I've just completed my first 12 months' interim assessment - what do I do with it?
Please keep hold of your interim records and do not send them to RICS at this stage. Your interim assessment documentation is submitted at the final assessment stage where it will form part of your pre-assessment submissions made prior to your final assessment.
