Each screen will be dedicated to one core value. Please ensure that you read the value and its example carefully.

When you have read through the dilemma and selected the right answer you will be able to progress to the next screen.

Don’t worry if you select the wrong answer, you will have an opportunity to answer again.

But do read through the responses from the exercise to understand why the answer you gave is considered appropriate or not.

At the end of the exercise, you will be required to declare that you understand each of RICS’ core values.

Please print and complete the declaration and send it to RICS Membership Operations at the same time as submitting the required documents for final assessment.

You may be aware that RICS updated and launched its Rules of Conduct on 4 June 2007.

The short principles-based Rules of Conduct for members and firms set out high-level requirements and are supported by policy statements and help sheets.

In addition to completing the online ethics exercise, you are expected to download a copy of the guidance on how to study the new Rules of Conduct* and be aware of them in your everyday work.

Take the exercise now.
