RICS matrics Greater Manchester Spring CPD report

17 April 2007

The RICS matrics Greater Manchester recently concluded its Spring CPD programme which proved to be our most popular programme to date, thanks to the breadth of topics covered.

The one hour programmes ranged in subject from CDM Regulations to Rent Reviews and took place at the Renold Building of Manchester University.

The key to the success of these events was the excellent quality of the people speaking and the great support of the Greater Manchester RICS matrics members attending the events.

The programme included:

  • A World without Warranties - could Collateral Warranties become obsolete? Presented by Sarah Hhall of Pinsent Masons Solicitors.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility - The responsibility of the employer. Presented by Steve Gillingham of Sense Cost Consultancy.
  • APC Critical Analysis Preparation - Presented by Jon Lever of De Lever.
  • Planning Update - Review of recent changes in planning legislation and working practice. Presented by Colin Williams, Euan Kellie and Joanne Hill of Drivers Jonas.
  • Rent Review - The Hypothetical Lease and Conduct of Reviews. Presented by Tom Cressy and Jeremy Steele of Cobbetts Solicitors.

If you would like to let us know your views regarding the CPD programme or you are interested in giving a CPD seminar in the Autumn, please contact either:

Special thanks to both Lorna McHugh of Sense and Alexander McCallion of Drivers Jonas for oraganising the CPD events and for Zabrina Wrigley's help on the night.
