The Disciplinary Panel found proved three charges based on the evidence before it.

It imposed a Severe Reprimand and a fine of £500 for conduct unbefitting for failure to provide a level of service as an assessor to Home Inspector and Domestic Energy Assessor applicants which resulted in the cancellation of his accreditation as an RICS approved assessor.

For failure to obtain/maintain run-off insurance in accordance with Professional Indemnity Insurance Rules since 30 September 2006 it expelled Mr Riyat from Membership of the Institution. The Panel also expelled him from Membership for failure to co-operate with RICS officers and respond to letters of 29 March 2007; 05 and 12 April 2007 and 18 July 2007 and emails dated 19 July 2007 and 08 August 2007.

The Panel also ordered him to contribute £4,308.88 towards the cost of the hearing and ordered publication in RICS Business, RICS website and a local newspaper.
