LCREE skills sets – what's needed?

19 May 2008

RICS has been approached by Pro Enviro Ltd, an environmental consultancy, to aid them with a research project they have been commissioned to undertake by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) into the skills requirements for a Low Carbon and Resource Efficient Economy (LCREE). This independent, up-to-date research will provide evidence of the current understanding of the LCREE skills sets – highlighting any deficiencies and problem areas.

This research will focus on:

  • Identifying the LCREE skills needed
  • Factors driving demand
  • Mainstreaming of LCREE skills
  • Understanding and awareness of skills requirements
  • Identification of gaps in skills
  • The evidence baseitself.

It is important that this research takes into account the needs of UK businesses so, to this end, we would be grateful if you could assist us by completing a short online employers' questionnaire by following this link: www.skills4lowcarboneconomy.co.uk/Employers-Questionnaire.aspx
