 RICS Scotland Project Management Faculty Student Award 2005

For his dissertation on “The Integration of Value Management for a Better Briefing Process in UK Construction industry”, Chung Hoong Sam of Heriot Watt University was awarded the RICS Scotland Project Management Faculty Student Award 2005 prize.

The Award, which is in its third year, is awarded to the top final year student dissertation relevant to project management from RICS Scotland’s partner Universities.

The judging panel, involving members of the RICS Scotland Project management Faculty Board together with an independent surveying expert were impressed with the high standard of entries received but judged Chung Hoong Sam dissertation to be the winner.

The prize winner and his university both receive cheques to the value of £250.00.

A runner up prize was also awarded. This was given to Adam McKeown of Heriot Watt University for his dissertation  “An examination of the Construction Industry’s Attempts to Develop a Concise Guideline for Project Management”. Mr McKeown received a cheque for £50.00.
