Social events report
May saw the return of the ever popular Pub Golf event and a gorgeous summer’s evening in July (we won’t mention the rain) was the setting for the annual Summer BBQ at The Pitcher and Piano.
Later on in the same month, surveyors battled it out to win the accolade of winner of the RICS matrics Regional Golf Tournament at Denton Golf Course.
The beginning of August saw the return of the Summer Social which took place at Atlas Bar. The latter part of the month welcomed a new event in the form of a day at Chester Races.
CPD and Charity
The Autumn CPD seminars took place on five Tuesday evenings in September and October and the array of topics attracted record numbers to the seminars held at Manchester University.
The annual Charity Ball which took place at The Midland Hotel was a particular highlight of October, whilst Tiger, Tiger played host for the extremely popular Beaujolais Bash in November.
The RICS matrics National Assembly took place in Edinburgh during December.
December also saw the return of the The RICS Carol Service at St Ann’s Church and a nervous Chair carrying out her reading!
A taste of things to come
20 March is the last date for the Spring CPD session at Manchester University.
You will need to get your training in for the annual Five-a-side Football Tournament on 25 March, the winners of which will qualify for the National Tournament in July.
The Spring Social, Champagne Tasting Event and Go-Carting should see us well into the Spring. So remember to keep up to date with all of our events by logging onto www.rics.org/matricsmanchester.
