Entitlement to and Use of Chartered Alternative Designation (CAD)

If you are a professional member (FRICS or MRICS) you are entitled to use the designation "Chartered Surveyor". You may also want to use an alternative designation (such as Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Valuation Surveyor – more listed on the web link below) to highlight a specialism.

Please note however that you do not automatically qualify for a Chartered Alternative Designation if you are a faculty member. If you have the right level of experience and work in the relevant area of surveying, your faculty may award you the right to use it.
