Welcome to the East of England region of RICS covering the six counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. With an area of 19 120 sq km we are the second largest region in England.

A recent BBC survey identified the East of England as the region of innovation and good ideas. Economically, it is a prosperous area with the highest national rate of car ownership and the highest average wages after London and the South East.

It is forecast to be the strongest growing UK region over the next three years.

It is a region of rural areas and towns, with some small cities. A region of contrasts and diversity with strong historical themes rubbing shoulders with the latest in knowledge-based industries and the London-dominated commuter land of the south of the region giving way to beautiful countryside, isolated farming areas and seaside resorts further north and east.

There are some 7 800 members of the RICS in the East of England and the Regional Board has been established to raise the profile of Chartered Surveyors and engage with the decision makers of the region.
