RICS matrics Birmingham report (May 2008)

06 May 2008

I am delighted to be taking over the role of RICS matrics Birmingham Chair and I am very much looking forward to putting on some fantastic events for you over the
coming year.

We have a packed schedule for 2008 and there is something going on virtually every month. The wine tasting at Hotel du Vin, held in conjunction with trainee solicitors and accountants, and the Black Country Beer Bus in March were both a great success. These were followed in April by the ever popular Curry Night.

The 2008 matrics Quiz challenge is coming up so make sure you are on our mailing list to receive details of this and all of our other fantastic events. We are also planning the Ball which will be a night like no other night we have ever attempted before!

I’d just like to finish up with a couple of thank you’s. First to our outgoing Chair, Paul Arnell, who has given up countless hours in the pursuit of great events over the past couple of years and has put Birmingham matrics on a firm footing to grow.

Paul is now ascending to the national RICS matrics committee, standing for the West Midlands, and will continue to make sure that we get the best out of the RICS.

I would also like to thank our sponsors, Judd Farris, whose continued support, both financial and organisational, make our events possible.

Well that’s all from me for now but if you need any information about future events please get in touch.
