Congratulations to Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Property Services (Team A) who emerged victors in the finals of the RICS matrics 2008 5-a-side football local heats, held at Staffordshire University earlier in the year.

Teams were entered from twelve local companies and all the six-minute league matches were played out fast and furiously.

As winners, Property Services gain entry to the next round of the national 5 a-side tournament, however, as they are unable to submit a team, runners-up Prosurv have accepted the challenge. We send them to the next round with our support and look forward to hearing their result – good luck boys!

We had a great night at the end of January when Rory Mack Associates kindly organised and sponsored a Fast Lane Karting event. The identity of the true winner has been the subject of much discussion and contention, however, I can report that Dave Ashley (Poole Dick Associates) completed the most laps in the allotted time (it was not just hands and rears that were sore but the egos too!).

As usual, RICS matrics North Staffs will be booking a table at the North Staffordshire Local Association annual dinner in April, although this year many of our members will be sitting with their respective companies. We are all very much looking forward to this year’s event and thank the organisers for their hard work.
