Workshop overview
All valuers will be aware of the RICS Valuation Standars (The Red Book). Feedback from teh Red Book roadshows has revealed some valuers would like to have a more detailed explanation of the application of the Red Book at a practical level.
Each workshop will be for a full day and, based on an instruction to value various properties, will cover in detail all aspects of the Red Book from qualification to reporting.
The workshops are deisgned to be as interactive as possible, and so that individuals have an opportunity to contribute fully, the numbers attending each session will be limited to no more than 30.
Who should attend?
These worshops have been designed to be of particular interest to APC candidates and the less experienced valuer, or valuers who feel that their understanding of the Red Book would benefit from being brought up to date.
Key benefits:
- By using practical examples and group discussion gaining a deeper understanding of how the Red Book impacts on all valuations.
- An understanding of the monitoring procedures and how to make sure that your valuation is compliant.
- Advice on how to structure terms of engagement and reports that deal with all the requirements of the Red Book.
- Practical examples on qualifying to undertake the valuation and recognising and dealing with conflicts of interest together with risk management.
- An opportunity to raise questions and discuss issues with the trainersThe trainers
