INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Urban Development, Regeneration and Finance

Date: 27-29 August 2008

Venue:  Jordanstown Campus, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Organised by the Commonwealth Association of Surveying & Land Economy (CASLE) and the University of Ulster, and supported by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Of special importance to practitioners, academics and students in both developed and developing countries.

The conference will recognise emerging best practice in the development and regeneration of urban and wider regional economies and the technical support provided by public agencies. There will be emphasis on new research, and reports on work in progress. Papers will focus on new research themes and topics and will demonstrate innovation and insight.

Workshop visits will include the historic ship-building site now forming part of Europe’s largest redevelopment scheme and the newly formed and innovative Land & Property Services – an agency bringing together mapping, land registration, valuation and property tax collection services serving the public and the property industry.

Accommodation will be available in brand new residential facilities on campus, as well as in nearby hotels.
