- Repairs and maintenance
- Facilities and fittings
- Heating, insulation and energy efficiency, and;
- Health, safety and home security features
They can be used as a benchmarking tool by private landlords to evaluate their own performance or as a basis for developing local voluntary accreditation schemes based on partnerships at local level.
Copies of the Scottish National Core Standards and Good Practice Guidance for Private Landlords will be available from the Communities Scotland website from January 2007.
In the meantime, paper copies can be borrowed from the RICS Scotland library e edlib@rics.org.
