RICS has responded to a consultation paper, launched by Communities and Local Government, on the Future of Building Control.

One of the major needs for the "Future of Building Control" is for a new culture of compliance, responsibility and understanding.  We must be clear on what and who "the Building Control System" is as different to the "Building Control Service".

RICS would like a clear message to be sent out that the "Building Control System" includes all stakeholders.
