CARE International UK is preparing a number of “Standard Construction Documents” for use in shelter projects in emergencies.
Could you assist by sharing any construction documents that you or your colleagues have found useful in emergency situations?
Documents will be edited to provide “best practice” documents that will form part of CARE’s Emergency Toolkit as described below:
CARE’s Emergency Toolkit
The Emergency Toolkit will describe the protocols, procedures and guidelines for CARE’s emergencies work and will be organised in four sections:
Part 1: Policy and Management Framework
Part 2: Programming Guidelines
Part 3: Program Management Guidelines
Part 4: Operational Guidelines
CARE International UK is tasked with developing the ‘Transitional Shelter and Settlements Chapter’ that will appear in Part Two: Programming Guidelines. This chapter shall include Annexes containing specific technical tools. One Annex shall contain a collection of ‘Standard Construction Documents’. These documents shall be designed as best practice templates for Emergency Shelter and Reconstruction projects.
