TechRICS for building control

14 April 2008

Recent changes to eligibility and assessment for TechRICS broaden access to the RICS technical qualification. A scoring system has been introduced to provide more effective recognition of the diversity of qualifications and experience gained.  Those wishing to become TechRICS now need to score a minimum of 100 points before taking their final assessment.

The UK Education Standards Board has now approved the Association of Building Engineers (ABE) as suitable for this new RICS scoring system. Full membership or above (MBEng or FBEng) now scores 100 points on the TechRICS scoring matrix.  So anyone with these letters can come forward direct for final assessment.
