The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 – the story so far

The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 provides a mechanism by which a contract can be drawn up to benefit a person that is not a party to the contract, and therefore get round some of the problems of a private contract. 

The Act came into force on 11 November 1999.
