RICS to recruit more Rural Practice Arbitrators

04 July 2008

This is the first opportunity for a number of years for members to apply for a place on the RICS Panel of Rural Practice Arbitrators. In the first instance, RICS will give priority to members from areas with less representation on the panel.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience and be familiar with the arbitration process.

In order to attain panel membership, candidates must successfully pass an arbitrator training/assessment course, which will be common to applicants from the rural and commercial sections. The course will take place over a double weekend, comprising of case study exercises followed by interview panel sessions.

The first weekend is on 4-6 July 2008 with the second on 12-14 September 2008. Places will be limited.

If you wish to be considered, please contact Carol Goodall, Quality & Training Manager, RICS Dispute Resolution Services
