Event Overview
This is a specialist Conference for the Minerals and Waste Faculty to brief members on topical issues and market requirements for their services including:

- Environment and Minerals and Waste Management Faculty
  Update.
- The work being undertaken in Instability Reports by the
  British Geological Society, including the nature of instability
  in the UK; the impacts, recent events and implications;
  and identifying instability and what information is available.
- Regulatory investigations by the Environment Agency;
  Prosecutions including the Environment Agency
  Enforcement and Prosecution Policy and their Guidelines
  Contested Cases, Guilty Pleas and Post conviction 
  considerations in the waste management industry.
- Overview of the current status and trends in wind energy
  development in the UK.  Also discussing community,
  industrial and greenfield projects and highlighting the
  opportunities, constraints and values within each sector.
- Simon Tribe will also outline a forecast of renewable
  generation and wind's contribution within the UK to 2020,
  based on personal research.
- The Protection of Groundwater from the Effects of Past Coal
