Following requests from artists represented by the Society of London Art Dealers and the British Art Market Federation, of which RICS is a member, for a choice of collecting society for Artist's Resale Right, the Artists' Collecting Society (ACS) has been established.

ACS is an independent collecting society with the aim of supporting the art trade by:

• The provision of a not-for-profit service that will charge 18% to cover administration costs together with an obligation to re-imburse artists with any excess money on a pro-rata basis
• Operating under a transparent administration
• Minimising the disruption to sales
