National Ratepayers' Forum meeting

12 April 2007

The National Ratepayers' Forum (formerly the National Ratepayers Valuation Forum) was launched by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) in 2000 to help them talk and exchange information with ratepayers.

The Forum has helped the VOA make significant improvements to the ways in which they collect and present information as part of the revaluation process. It also allows discussion about wider policy issues related to business rates.

In addition to organisations representing rate payers, members of the main professional groups who deal with rating valuations - the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation and the Rating Surveyors Association - also participate as observers in order to provide advice where required.

Minutes of the latest meeting are avilable in the word downloads box on the right of the page.  Issues disscussed include VOA customer service and arrangements for the revaluation in 2010.
