Information transparency, value supportability, and the RICS brand in user assessment of valuation products

This study seeks to improve our understanding of three key areas of client behaviour in relation to property valuations: first, the effect of information transparency upon clients’ susceptibility to misjudgments of valuation quality; next, the reasonableness of the valuation estimate, as judged by the client; and finally, any effect of the RICS “brand” on clients’ judgments of valuations.
