RICS are running more assessment/recruitment courses to add members to our commercial panel.
It is always a difficult balancing act to ensure sufficient panel members to match the types of application received, whilst giving panel members opportunity to keep their dispute resolution skills honed.
When recruiting, priority is given to specific areas where we have identified shortages.
The arbitrator course ran earlier this year concentrated on recruiting surveyors who specialise in retail warehouses and also surveyors able to act on telecom mast sites.
These surveyors will shortly be added to our panel and we hope our customers will start to notice improvements in the time taken to make appointments.
We are particularly looking for:
- Birmingham office rent review specialists;
- Surveyors in Bristol, particularly those specialising in office rent reviews;
- Rent review surveyors in Kent, East Anglia and Yorkshire;
- Rent review surveyor able to act on garden centres, children’s nurseries and medical practices;
Surveyors who can act nationally on residential development land disputes and major residential rent or valuation disputes, particularly in London.
Surveyors should have at least 10 years post qualification experience and be actively involved in their specialist areas. Rent review surveyors should be actively involved in representing clients in arbitrations or expert determinations.
