Executive Summary & Key Findings - 2009 Salary Rewards and Attitudes Survey

05 March 2009

Now in its tenth year, the RICS and Macdonald & Company Salary, Rewards & Attitudes Survey is the most comprehensive survey undertaken for the property sector.

The survey continues the success of earlier surveys, 10,476 UK surveying professionals participated online in December 2008 and January 2009, making this our highest ever response (versus 6,920 in 2008), and the largest and most comprehensive survey of its type.

Executive summary and key findings

Besides statistics on current salaries, recent salary increases, bonuses and employment package benefits, the results give insight into wider issues that are important to professionals in their role and their attitudes toward employment.  This executive summary sets out the key findings of the survey.

A full report and online statistics package for the 2009 survey are available at a cost of £399 + VAT.

The online statistics package is an easy to use online application, which can be accessed via a unique url, username and password.

The statistics package will provide an even greater insight and accuracy to the results of the RICS and Macdonald & Company Salary, Rewards & Attitudes Survey 2009, by allowing the user to cross reference data at their own discretion.

As only one example, the online user could undertake an analysis by region, by experience, by responsibility and by main profession to identify the precise average salary relevant to their specific industry and company.
