ATC
RICS Associate is an entry-level qualification. It provides an opportunity for those with work experience and/or relevant vocational qualifications to gain recognition of their skills in the land, property and construction sectors.
If you would like to become an Associate in one of the following pathways, you will need to complete the new Associate Assessment.
- Building Control
- Building Surveying
- Commercial Property Management
- Facilities Management (UK & Hong Kong)
- Hydrographic Surveying
- Land/Engineering Surveying
- Project Management (UK & Hong Kong)
- Quantity Surveying & Construction (UK & Hong Kong)
- Residential Estate Agency
- Residential Property Management
- Residential Survey & Valuation
- Valuation (UK & India)
The new Associate Assessment will continue to be rolled out across more pathways in the UK and around the world. Find out more about the Associate Assessment.
For all other pathways and candidates outside of the UK, you will need to complete the existing Assessment of Technical Competence (ATC).
The Assessment of Technical Competence (ATC) is in two parts:
- Completion of an online exercise proves awareness of RICS' ethical requirements
- Demonstration of sector-specific competencies is achieved through a number of written submissions.
