RICS EU

As the largest, and most diverse, independent professional body worldwide dealing with all aspects of land, construction and property, RICS – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – is the 'voice of choice' for the international community for two reasons:

  • RICS educates, regulates and promotes the best practice of its members’ expertise and knowledge

  • RICS protects people’s interest as the hub of leading research and policy advice to government and other decision makers.

More and more legislation with an impact on the property sector is agreed at European level, so RICS has a dedicated team to deal with European affairs.

Distilling the combined knowledge and expertise of its members, RICS can offer European policy-makers objective, expert policy advice.

Many areas at the heart of the profession’s expertise – sustainability, urban regeneration and energy efficiency – are currently high on the European agenda.
