RICS Matrics Committee: Meet the professionals about the insight into drones for our industry

Networking Hong Kong, 27 Feb 2018

To help address the commonly held perception the industry lags behind others in adopting new technologies, the RICS’ Matrics Committee presents as part of its ‘Meet the Professional Series’, an evening with Founder and CEO of Drones Survey Asia, Nick Foxall, to showcase the capability of drones for our industry.

Event overview

From acquisition to construction, to operations, repair and maintenance, could drone technology be part of the industry’s response to the digital challenge? Through case studies and videos for industrial and structural inspections, aerial mapping, photogrammetry, surveying, asset security and monitoring, participants will have a unique opportunity to get up close to a drone and discuss the potential use of this technology in our industry. 3D visualisation from a drone survey output will also be reviewed, with interactive discussion and networking opportunities at the event.

The Committee is youthful, forward thinking, challenging, nurturing, vibrant. It is this approach that enables its members to grow and become an integral part of the wider RICS - the lifeblood of the surveying profession.
