RICS Manifesto 2010

RICS External Affairs team has drawn up RICS' own manifesto for use in policy discussions with the political parties after the UK General Election.

Drawing on RICS' policy development work of the last few years, the key themes of the manifesto are:

  • Standards
  • Professionalism
  • Sustainability in land, property, construction and the built environment.

The manifesto features elements of RICS' current policy priorities: housing, countryside, planning, low carbon built environment, commercial and residential property issues as well as construction, skills and land use/transport. 

The document also calls for effective standards and regulation in the residential sector.

RICS' public interest commitment and the views and concerns of RICS members are reflected in the manifesto document.
