RICS Matrics is our early career community, designed to support individuals from their student years through to their first 10 years of RICS qualification. It provides a platform for members to influence the profession, build valuable networks, and access support as they progress through the early stages of their careers.

Fun fact: as long as you fit the Matrics criteria of between student and qualified less than 10 years, you are automatically eligible to join our events!

The network is driven by 29 local committees, supported by 7 regional chairs and overseen by the Matrics UK Board. Together, they deliver a wide range of opportunities, including networking events, site visits, seminars, webinars, and candidate support sessions, complemented by dedicated RICS resources. Throughout the year, we also collaborate with other built environment bodies to host interprofessional events.

Many members of the Matrics community are passionate advocates for the profession and actively participate in early engagement initiatives. These include visiting schools, colleges, and universities to raise awareness of surveying careers and inspire the next generation. If you'd like to get involved, learn more about becoming an Inspire Ambassador.

The continued success of RICS Matrics relies on the enthusiasm and engagement of its members. Whether attending events, volunteering, or sharing feedback and ideas, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Members can also connect with their local community and stay informed through region-specific LinkedIn groups which are listed below:
