RICS Regulation deals with complaints about members' and firms' conduct and allegations of failure to meet the requirements of RICS rules.
If you are not happy about the service you have received from a firm that is regulated by RICS and believe that you may be entitled to financial compensation, you should ask the firm for details of its complaints handling procedure. The procedure should include the name of the person in the firm who is appointed to manage complaints.
The firm will attempt to resolve the matter but if you and the firm cannot reach agreement, you can take your complaint to an independent third party 'redress' scheme which will resolve the matter. The firm should provide you with details of the third party redress scheme it subscribes to.
