RICSCountry Manager - Benelux
Ed Nypels is RICS Country Manager for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg (Benelux) and leads the successful small team operating out of the Voorburg office in Holland. Before joining RICS in 2007, Ed was a serial entrepreneur with vast experience in world markets and for this reason he has travelled extensively in the Middle East, Asia, the US and Europe. He speaks English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish and Italian. His strengths lie in creative marketing, pr and networking.
Ed has been profiling the membership and the benefits to the market pro-actively for 6 years now and with his team, he was able to increase membership from about 200 to 900 professional members. RICS in Benelux raised member satisfaction considerably in the past 5 years by organising at least 14 CPD events per year.
In 2007, there were about 15 RICS Valuation specialists in the Benelux that were registered. Today, clients, stakeholders and banks can find 150 RICS Registered Valuers on our website, both in the Netherlands and in Belgium and Luxembourg. The Benelux now lists about 54 RICS Regulated Firms, giving clients further assurance of professional services in real estate.
On recognition, Benelux has been scoring maximum points with endorsements for RICS standards from end users and major banks. The annual RICS Gala dinner in the Netherlands attracts over 400 guests and members and is now an unmissable event on the Dutch Real estate agenda. In Brussels, more then 200 real estate professionals line up for the annual Realty opening lunch, hosted by RICS Belux. The Benelux operation is 'lean and mean', with a small one room office in a prestigious building, and operates effectively through good teamwork.
