Whether you are an experienced professional, recent graduate or industry leader you can become RICS qualified with our Associate or Chartered qualification.

Associate (AssocRICS) - our qualification for those with vocational experience

If you have work-based experience or vocational qualifications, you're already on your way to qualifying as an RICS Associate. As an Associate you are entitled to use the designation AssocRICS after your name.  To qualify you will need to complete the Associate Assessment.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience
• 48 hours of recorded CPD
• 3,000 word summary of experience
• 2,000 word case study
• Online RICS ethics module

RICS approved qualification or membership of a recognised professional body including:

• BIFM Part II Examinations
• BIFM Diploma in Facilities Management Level 4 or above
• Facilities Society's Certificate Course in Facilities Management

• Online RICS ethics module

 Member (MRICS) - our chartered qualification

Chartered status is awarded to individuals who maintain exemplary standards. To become chartered you will need a combination of academic and or/professional qualifications as well as experience.

To qualify you will need to complete the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

RICS Accredited degree with no relevant prior experience

• 24 months of structured training
• 96 hours of recorded CPD over the structured training period
• Completion of the final assessment documentation (summary of experience/case study/logbook)
• Online RICS ethics module
• Final assessment interview

RICS Accredited degree with five years' relevant experience

• 12 months' structured training
• 48 hours of CPD over structured training period
• Completion of the final assessment documentation (summary of experience/case study/logbook)
• Online RICS ethics module
• Final assessment interview

RICS Accredited degree / 10 years' relevant experience (pre-degree can count)

• 48 hours of CPD for the last 12 months
• Completion of the final assessment documentation (summary of experience/case study/logbook)
• Online RICS ethics module
• Final assessment interview

Bachelor’s degree OR RICS approved professional body membership with five years' relevant experience (12 months of which must be post-qualification)

• A preliminary review
• 48 hours of CPD for the last 12 months
• Completion of the final assessment documentation (summary of experience/case study/logbook)
• Online RICS ethics module
• Final assessment interview

10 years’ experience and in a senior industry position OR 5 years’ experience and in a senior industry position with an undergraduate degree/equivalent professional qualification and a relevant post-graduate degree

• Resume template
• Recorded CPD for the last 12 months
• 3 x 500 word case studies
• Online RICS ethics module
• Final assessment interview
