On the 29 June 2018, RICS Matrics held their annual AGM. The RICS Matrics UK Board and local group chairmen from across the UK gathered for a full afternoon induction session, which covered priorities for 2018-19, the value of RICS Matrics and the importance of sharing best practice as well as coming together to witness the inauguration of this years Chairman, Anna Keys.

Saying goodbye...

David Keddie, Gardiner and Theobald (2017-18 RICS Matrics Chairman) stepped down from his post with a revisit on his achievements as Chairman, in particular his Chairman's Challenge.

From the 12-19 May 2018, David cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End over a seven day period during mental health awareness week. David showed tremendous stamina and strengh throughout, and with his own fundraising and the help of local group fundraising, exceeded his £5,000 target, raising over £7,000 for the mental health chaity, MIND.

RICS Matrics Chairman 2018-19, Anna Keys

As the RICS Matrics gong and gavel were handed over, Anna Keys, Quantity Surveyor, Calfordseaden became the next RICS Matrics Chairman.

After serving for five years on the RICS Matrics UK Board and prior to that, being Chairman of RICS Matrics Kent. It gives me great pleasure and is an honour to be Chair in the year RICS Matrics celebrates its 130th anniversary.

It's A Knockout

After the formal proceedings came to a close, our RICS Matrics representatives all participated in the inflatable, obstacle course - It's A Knockout. Under the scorching temperatures, four teams competed in a race against the clock to win the trophy. This event was a great success, raising £415 for LandAid.
