Walk the West Highland Way for LandAid

Networking Milngavie - Fort William, 5-9 Sep 2018

Pledge 150 Fundraiser - Fundraise whilst getting fit for LandAid

Join RICS staff on a 5-day fundraising expedition for LandAid and discover Scotland's spectacular landscape on the West Highland Way, the most popular long-distance trail in Scotland.

Towering mountains, tranquil lochs and rushing rivers combine to reward you with a unique and ever-changing landscape as we journey 154km from Milngavie to Fort William. Pass by whisky distilleries and the charming rural villages of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, which offer the most spectacular views. Tyndrum and Inveroran punctuate the trail on the way to the Kings House Hotel which lies on the remote Rannoch Moor. This really is Scottish highland scenery at its best. Our walk continues on to Kinlochleven via the “Devil’s Staircase”, before finally reaching Ben Nevis and Fort William*

The whole route is well signposted on well-maintained paths, with much of the trail on ancient roads. For the majority of the walk, we’ll never be very far from a settlement, but some of the wilder sections, particularly over Rannoch Moor and the Devil’s Staircase will feel quite remote.

In the spirit of the cause we will be raising money for, LandAid, we will be camping overnight at 4 well established locations.

LandAid are the property industry charity and RICS have joined their campaign to combat youth homelessness. RICS & LandAid aim to raise £2.25 million and fund 150 bed spaces by December 2018 for young people at risk of becoming homeless across the UK.
