About

John is responsible for RICS’s influencing work to gain adoption of RICS’s technical and professional standards worldwide, with the ultimate aim of creating market confidence.

He has extensive experience in leading organisational change and played a central role in re-shaping RICS’ high level governance structure. John is currently developing the World Built Environment Forum - a global entity that brings together leaders from multiple disciplines in order to lead thinking and create solutions for the built environment of the future.

Prior to joining RICS in 2012, John served for 18 years as a British diplomat involved in multilateral negotiations in the EU, UN and NATO, and completed postings to a number of European capitals.
