About

Tarrant is part of the RICS Economics team having graduated with a degree in economics in 2012. Since joining RICS, Tarrant has been responsible for producing well established market surveys covering residential, commercial property and construction sectors across the world.

The RICS Economics department provides market leading analysis based on feedback received from property professionals around the world via a suite of products. These products provide market participants and policymakers with a leading-edge insight into developments in the property sector.

The most high profile and widely followed of the products produced by the economics team is the UK Residential Market Survey. As a mark of the quality of the data, the Bank of England requests the results ahead of its Monetary Policy Committee meeting to help formulate a decision on setting interest rates.

At various member events across the country, Tarrant presents at the team’s view on the general economic outlook for the UK and the likely implications for property.
