An updated version of a handbook designed to set out the minimum standards of service expected from inventory providers has been released.

A Guide to Best Practice for Inventory Providers, which was first published in 2007, is useful for trainee inventory clerks and provides an aide memoire for those already experienced in the preparation of inventories. It guides the user through the inventory process with self-check questions along the way.

The updated 2011 edition has an additional section on deposits, disputes and damages, and is available to members in PDF format.
