If Britain votes to leave the EU, how will that decision affect the built environment sector? It's the big question this month, as we count down to the summer’s referendum.
We’ve spoken to key figures for their views, and weigh the potential benefits against the possible disadvantages. There are two covers for this edition, too — one for the ‘out’ camp, and one for the ‘in’ camp. Where do you stand on the issue? Let us know by tweeting a selfie with the cover of your choice, using the hashtag #RICSmodus.

We are exploring the theme of ‘free’ with an analysis of the future role of elected mayors, particularly in the context of Britain’s ex-industrial heartland. Will these new leaders energise entire regions, or simply be there to execute cuts that are largely out of their control?
Finally, we also meet a number of surveyors who are giving away their time for free, working on a pro bono basis for worthy causes of many kinds. We find that there’s often as much in it for the surveyor as there is for the beneficiary.
