AIA and California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers approve RICS as official provider of continuing education

Michael Zuriff

Head of Regulation, Americas (RICS)

Over the past month, the RICS regulatory function in the Americas has been working closely with several important industry associations to look for ways to build relationships and increase our leverage within the U.S. market.

At the state level, the California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers, also known as BREA, has approved 9 hours-worth of RICS panel sessions being given at the upcoming Summit of the Americas LA2015 for their member’s continuing education requirement. Similarly, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), has approved RICS as an official provider that meets their Continuing Education System (CES) requirements and has agreed to promote the summit within their member publications.

For members, this signifies more consistency with U.S. based organizations and a growing recognition of the designation within the market. We plan to continue fostering relationships with industry organizations such as these for the benefit of members and the wider market.
