The Toronto Chapter of the RICS continues to hum along, bringing members and non-members together for some very successful recent events.

In March, we discovered the new “Southtown” (or “south of downtown”) business district with a strong panel of development experts as part of our long running development series.

In May, we continued our partner golf tournament with CIQS and AOLE which had over 65 participants. In April, we participated in the RICS Summit of the Americas which took place in Los Angeles, California and had almost 400 international and local delegates. We expect a successful rest of the RICS fiscal year, with a joint event on IPMS (measurement standards) with BOMA and REALPac in June, a social event to be planned for late June. Looking forward, we have the development series returning in the fall, along with our annual RICS-CIQS Construction event and RICS-IPTI Property Tax event in November, both of which regularly draw over 100 attendees.

Our membership continues to be active and growing, and we look forward to interacting with our members further as the year progresses.
