On Thursday, July 16, the RICS Prairies Chapter took an exclusive tour of the new Mosaic Centre in Edmonton, AB.
It is hailed as the first and largest "net-zero" commercial building in Canada, with 30,000 SF. The impressive new structure, which cost $10.5 million and was finished 3 months ahead of schedule, also came in 5 per cent under budget. The private tour for the chapter was made possible by Cuthbert Smith Group Inc., the Project Monitors for the Mosaic Centre. Doug Moller, MRICS, Prairies Chapter Board member, and Orest Stochniak, were the Senior QS’s monitoring the project. Special thanks to Ms. Nicole Auser of the Mosaic Centre for being a most competent tour guide.
