The winter 2017 edition of our regular RICS SoCal Chapter Networking and CPD events was held in conjunction with CCIM on Thursday, February 2 in Downtown Los Angeles.
The theme of the session was, "How to Build Wealth: Figuring Out When to Buy, Hold or Sell Commercial Real Estate," in which our esteemed speaker, Carmela Ma FRICS, educated the audience on the tools of ongoing quantitative analysis and engaged in a lively Q&A session.
The event, one of the largest to be held 'impromptu' with an RICS partner association, was attended by more than 40 RICS-qualified professionals and guests, many of whom were members and associates of CCIM.
In attendance from CCIM were, Jeff Albee, CCIM, President of the CCIM Los Angeles and Past-President, Sharon Carz, CCIM.
Attendees were able to enjoy an hour-long presentation that provided them with the insights to make tough decisions in commercial real estate investing. Touching on the nuances of building wealth through commercial real estate, topics covered included cycles of ownership, purchasing or not, what makes smart repositioning, when to refinance vs. when to do nothing, and key strategies to build wealth.
Thank you to Mark Fergus FRICS, RICS SoCal Chapter Chair, and Cumming Corporation for hosting the event.
