All UK & I applications and submissions are now to be completed via the Assessment Platform.

Any information you had recorded as part of your Summary of Experience and CPD in ARC is now available as a download on the Assessment Platform under the Legacy Data section.

 

Please review the relevant candidate application checklists below before starting your application.

Please ensure that your submission is correct prior to hitting the submit button in the Assessment Platform. You need to use the RICS Guides in-conjunction with the Assessment Platform. You and your counsellor need to ensure that you have met the minimum requirements for your pathway. Once you have submitted you will be unable to make any amendments to your submission document as your Assessment Platform will lockdown. 


Receive confirmation of a valid application

RICS will complete application checks and confirm via email that we have all the required information to begin scheduling your assessment. 

You will receive an acknowledgement email within 5 working days after completing the mandatory intent to submit form.

You will receive an acknowledgement email within 5 working days after applying and submitting for assessment via the Assessment Platform, which includes important information.  

You will receive an acknowledgement email within 10 working days of submitting once your submission has been checked.   


Situations that may delay or cancel your assessment

  • If you fail to meet the minimum requirements as confirmed with the Guides.   
  • If you fail to complete the mandatory Intent to submit form
  • If you fail to provide all required minimum requirements by the apply and submit window deadline via the Assessment Platform
  • If your counsellor, proposer or seconders withdraw their support of your application.        


Receiving confirmations of your assessment date

You will receive 2 week’s notice of your scheduled interview date and time by email. You must keep all dates free as advertised on the RICS website for your assessment period for SPA, SPE and APC. This and more information can be found here.

Assessments from 3 January 2023 will be completed using the new Assessment Platform.

If we already have these details they will be visible to you. You should check they are up to date.

Preparing your submission – submission templates are available on the Assessment Platform

1. Enter employment history, including a brief description of your roles and responsibilities

2. Complete your submission template offline in word. The template includes:

  • Summary of experience (APC and Associate Assessments only)
  • Profile statement (SPA and Specialist Assessments only)

3. Complete your case study template offline in Word.

4. Add your CPD on the Assessment Platform

Submitting for assessment

The following actions all take place on the Assessment Platform

1. Upload your submission.

2. Upload your Case study(ies)

3. Gain support from your proposers and seconders (this can be done in advance)

4. Gain approval to proceed to assessment from your Counsellor

Complete any additional details as required on the assessment application page on the Assessment Platform. This can include international experience and special considerations.
