This guidance note is the result of a collaboration between RICS and IFMA. It sets out a coherent, consistent approach to planning the provision of FM. It also reflects the competences required to pursue the qualification credentials required by both IFMA and RICS.
This guidance note is intended to set out current good practice in the strategic planning of FM to formulate the delivery of facilities services which achieve optimum value and contribution to the organisation that FM supports.
It brings together ideas and experience from a range of sources and is consistent with the existing ISO Standards for FM.
The guidance applies whether the reader is a user, buyer, internal or external provider, or an auditor of FM services.
