Volunteering as an Inspire Ambassador offers you the chance to help inspire the next generation and give something back to the profession by volunteering to attend schools, universities or careers shows to promote surveying.
Inspire Ambassadors build students’ awareness of careers in surveying through a range of engaging activities offered to young people. Ambassadors bring the world of surveying to life, explaining the pathways into a broad range of careers and the skills needed to raise student’s aspirations about a future in surveying.
We need RICS professionals, trainees and apprentices to visit RICS targeted schools and universities to help showcase the profession, what you do as a surveyor and why it is a career of choice.
We will provide briefing / training and materials, including brochures and even a virtual reality careers app, so you can feel confident and engage with young people in the best way.
Be an integral part of our facilitated Inspire workshops as an ‘industry expert’ help to give students a hands-on experience of surveying. These are two hour interactive sessions.
Give a presentation or run an activity to raise awareness of surveying as a career
Give a presentation to students on RICS accredited degrees to tell them more about a career as a surveyor and an early overview of the APC.
Spend time on a RICS stand promoting the career and engaging with students.
