Overview

The construction industry is taking giant leaps towards going digital; Building Information Modeling (BIM) is becoming an important tool for digital construction. Advancements in the storage, computing and distribution of data will enable BIM-GIS integration to bring tremendous value to engineering project delivery and asset management and operations for built infrastructure and the managed environment around it.

In this seminar, the speaker will share with us:

  • The why and what of BIM & GIS
  • BIM & GIS Interactions
  • The future of BIM & GIS
  • Use case example: Chicago Dept of Water Management
  • The possibilities in Hong Kong — Smart Cities
