Macdonald & Company: leading the way in professional recruitment

As a highly respected consultancy for the real estate, built environment, energy and environmental sectors, Macdonald & Company is our preferred partner for recruitment.

What happened in the 2019 Salary Survey?

The 2019 Salary Survey revealed that, despite market uncertainty, 57% believe their company's revenue will increase in 2019, and 39% believe 2019 will create more new business opportunities.

Survey in brief

  • RICS qualified professionals receive an average base salary of £13,600 more than non-qualified professionals
  • 55% of respondents said their employers offer good job security
  • 40% of respondents think business opportunities will increase in 2019
  • 64% of respondents received a pay rise in 2018
  • Residential Surveyors received an average 14.3% base salary increase from 2018

Attaining skilled workers will likely be harder post Brexit, despite a generally positive outlook for 2019, and the standards that our professionals work to that cross markets will be key.
